Victor Stranges takes an acoustic guitar to songs by Paul Weller, The Smiths, Billy Bragg, Nick Lowe, The Cure, Graham Parker, Squeeze, Buzzcocks and others - bringing the words and melodies to the front, with stories behind the songs along the way.
Special guest Garry Allen opens the evening.

When he began writing songs in Melbourne in the mid 1980s, while playing drums in punk band Drunk ’n’ Disorderly on the local circuit, these were among the writers who provided the blueprint. Their records became part of his education in songwriting and helped shape a musical path that has continued through bands, records, solo work and more than four decades of making music.
Now he’s going back to where much of it started.
Expect stripped back performances, stories from Victor’s own career, the stories behind some of the songs and records, and a little useful information about the people who wrote them. There may also be the occasional opinion accumulated over 40 years.
Special guest Garry Allen opens the evening with his own set before joining Victor later in the night, with a few other guests likely to appear along the way.
Make a night of it. Dinner. Drinks. Friends. And some very good songs.
